Instructions

  1. Set the pan on medium heat and add the olive oil. When you add the onion and a pinch of salt, stir it in every few minutes. Cook for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until it turns golden. Read about how to sauté onions to learn more.
  2. Warm the oven up to 350oF. Spray some nonstick spray on a 9×13-inch baking dish or a baking sheet with a lip around the edge. Take a serrated knife and cut the rolls in half like a bagel or buns. Then, put the sides of the rolls in the baking dish that has been prepared.
  3. In a small sauce pan, mix all of the sauce’s parts together. Bring to a boil and stir every now and then. Take the sauce off the heat when it’s fully warmed through and well mixed.
  4. Mix the Cheez Whiz with the onions and warm the sauce. Then, spread it on the cut sides of the rolls, both the top and bottom.
  5. The roast beef should be spread out evenly on the bottom of the rolls. Add the sautéed onions all over the top.
  6. Use as much or as little sauce as you like, and save any extra for dips. Spread it out evenly over the beef and onions.
  7. Top with the roll tops and cheddar cheese that has been shred.
  8. While the rolls are baking, melt the cheese and make the sides golden. The sliders should also be warm all the way through.
