Instructions

  1. Warm up the oven to 350°F and use non-stick cooking spray or parchment paper to line a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Cake mix, 1 box of chocolate pudding mix, sour cream, oil, eggs, vanilla, and water should be mixed together on medium speed for about 2 minutes. You can use a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or a hand mixer in a big bowl. If you need to, scrape the bottom of the bowl.
  3. Cut 10 Oreos into large pieces, then mix the pieces into the cake batter.
  4. Put batter into the pan that has been prepared. Then, use a spoon or an angled spatula to spread the batter out into a smooth layer.
  5. After the oven is hot, bake the cake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top springs back when touched lightly.
  6. Ten minutes to cool the cake down. To make holes in the cake, use the handle of a wooden spoon or a smoothie straw to poke holes about every inch or so across the cake.
  7. Mix the rest of the chocolate pudding mix and milk in a medium bowl with a whisk for two minutes. Pour the pudding over the cake right away, making sure it gets into all the holes. Let the cake cool all the way down.
  8. Cut 8 Oreos into small pieces and gently fold them into the whipped filling. Spread the whipped topping out on the cake in an even layer. Put the dish in the fridge for at least 4 hours with the lid on.
  9. Just before you serve the cake, chop up the last 8 Oreos into large pieces and put them on top. If you want, you can drizzle it with chocolate fudge sauce.
